APTEasy

Simple script to simplify application and distribution updates.

Advantages

The reason why APTEasy was created was because we wanted to make all of the 4 below commnads be able to be run with one command; apte.

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
apt-get dist-upgrade
apt-get autoremove
apt-get autoclean
apt-get clean

Features

Usage

Binary-like usage

Fetching the updates list: apte-update

Installing application updates: apte-upgrade

Installing distribution updates: apte-dist-upgrade

Removing all unused packages: apte-dust

Cleaning old downloaded archive files: apte-cold

Cleaning downloaded archive files: apte-old

Doing all of the above using one command: apte

SH-script usage

Fetching the updates list: sh apte-update.sh

Installing application updates: sh apte-upgrade.sh

Installing distribution updates: sh apte-dist-upgrade.sh

Removing all unused packages: sh apte-dust.sh

Cleaning old downloaded archive files: sh apte-cold.sh

Cleaning downloaded archive files: sh apte-old.sh

Doing all of the above using one command: sh apte.sh

Easier method

Visit the releases page here and download the latest version.

Terminal method

You will to have git installed on your machine to use this method, to install git run the following: sudo apt-get install git.

First of all cd your machine into the binary directory of your machine:

e.g For example, in iOS you would run cd \bin.

Now to download/install APTE you will need to clone this repository:

Run this git clone https://github.com/deavmi/APTEasy.git

Now you are all set to use APTE!
